- Create a new A4 landscape size worksheet (29.7 x 21 cm).
- Type text in a free font but make sure you use an attractive font (here I use the Cooper Black font). Then increase the font size and color it black.
- Lower the opacity of the black text to 50%.
- Rotate the text with a few rotations of around 30.
- Create a black box using a rectangle > lower the opacity of the color so that the text layer underneath is visible > then position the box to cut off the text in the middle.
- Convert the text by > Text selection > object > expand > expand panel appears > check list of object and fill columns > ok.
- Select the text and cut box > click the shape builder tool > press alt + move the mouse to the part that is not needed until it looks like this.
- Still in position with the shape builder tool and the object still selected > drag the top piece of text from start to finish, like a red line.
- Still in position with the shape builder tool and the object still selected > drag the bottom piece of text from start to finish, like a red line.
- Select all the top pieces of text then group > then return the opacity to 100%.
- Select the bottom text then return the opacity to 100%.
- Make the text background blue and place it below the text.
- Change the text to white and slide the bottom piece of text to the left so that it looks like it has been cut off.
- Select the top piece of text > go to the window menu > gradient > linear type.
- Change the position of the gradient as desired by clicking the gradient tool on the left of the toolbox> then drag the direction of the desired gradient, drag from the starting point to the ending point. This is the final result.
